Pastor Jim Filbeck

Pastor Jim was born in Viroqua, Wisconsin. His family resided in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, until he was 5 years of age. They moved to Roseville, Minnesota, for the remainder of his school years.

He is the son of a pastor. He lost his mother to cancer of the pancreas at the age of 15. Growing up in the church meant he knew everything . . . but he didn't really know Jesus as his personal Savior! He was about 15 years of age when God called him into the ministry. However, as many of us do, he tried to run from God. It wasn't until the age of 18 that he truly gave his heart to Jesus and he said there is no turning back!

Pastor Jim attended North Central University from 1984-88. He and his wife Julie went to Basingstoke, England, and helped pastor a great church called Wessex Christian Fellowship (1988-1991). In July of 1991, they moved to Auburn, Washington, and became Senior Associate Pastors at Calvary Temple. In 1994 the church invited him to become the senior pastor. They enjoyed the blessing of God until the summer of 2002 when God called them to leave Auburn. In October of 2002, they started at Rochester Assembly. Pastor Jim’s role at the church is to encourage people to seek God to the fullest. This is a great church with great potential in a great community.

Pastor Jim is married to Julie and they have two beautiful daughters.

His interests include sports, old cars and God's green earth!
